The Minnesota Aviation Hall of Fame strongly suggests that if you are staying overnight, you book at the Ramada/Thunderbird, Mall of America. If you wish to reserve a room for the night at the Ramada/Thunderbird, please contact them directly. The hotel has set aside a block of rooms for us, so be sure to mention that you are with the Aviation Hall of Fame event.
The Ramada is within walking distance of the Mall of America and IKEA, and across from the International

Orville H.
Brede, Master Mechanic and corporate pilot; Joseph E. Kimm;
early Northwest Airline Pilot; Bryan G. Moon, artist and MIA hunter; Kenneth
C. Neustel, parachute jumper, instructor and inspector; Raymond J.
Rought, MN/DOT administrator; and Duane P. Wething; aircraft
restorer and airport advocate at Detroit Lakes, MN.
In addition to the inductees, the Minnesota Aviation Hall of
Fame will present awards to Paul M. Sailer for Best Aviation Writing by
a Minnesotan for 2012 and to Stephen Nesser for Best Aviation Art for
2012. The Hall of Fame will also present monetary scholarships to young adults
entering into aviation careers. The FAA will also be using our stage to present
their annual awards.
Reservations can be made by using the separate form.( Dinner reservation form )Cost for the event is $45 per person, payable to MAHOF. We expect
a capacity crowd of 400-500 persons, so the earlier your reservations are in,
the better your seating will be. We will attempt to seat friends of each
inductee in the same general area, on a first come, first served basis. Do
not send reservation forms to the hotel, but to the address of the
Treasurer listed above. No tickets are issued but reservations will be
acknowledged by e-mail or snail mail. Name tags can be picked up at the
registration table on the night of the banquet. This is “the” aviation event of
this time of the year, we hope to see you there.
RESERVATIONS MUST BE IN NO LATER THAN APRIL 10, 2012.
Please note: If seats are available after the
deadline, there will be no choice of seating preference. Seating is by
reservations only, NO seats will be sold at the door. There is no “standing
room”.
